Freshen Up Your Spring Dinner Table with a Touch of Tartan.

Spring has officially sprung, we have made it through the winter and into the spring. With Covid restrictions beginning to lift and hope in the air we are excited for Spring to flourish. If you’re like me then spring is the time of year to refresh and restart and the best place to start is always home. Clearing out the wardrobe, some fresh pillow cases or my favorite, refreshing the dinner table. Mixing up your dinner table each season or holiday is an easy and fun way to bring the new season into your home, decorating your dinner table can also turn you’re at home dinners into a restaurant experience.

Okay, I’ll admit seeing everyone’s stunning tables all over Pinterest and Instagram can be daunting and figuring out where to start can be difficult but that’s where we come in. With our tip’s you will have a photo worthy dinner table in no time!

Table runners:

For long rectangle or square tables a table runner can be the perfect thing to change it up a bit. Adding a table runner instead of a full table cloth can give you the opportunity to show off the gorgeous table underneath and add a bit of color and pattern. Living in Scotland I am slightly biased and love a bit of tartan so of course I’m going to suggest to you a tartan table runner. There are so many tartans out there is no doubt you will find one with matches your style and bring in a splash of spring color such as greens, blues and yellows or if you have a clan tartan that you like, adding in the family tartan can give it a more personal touch. Classy Confetti:

Carrying on the personal touch another tartan table décor option is classy confetti. There are many ways you can incorporate tartan or specifically your clan tartan into your home and this sturdy butterfly tartan confetti is a classy option to add to your dinner table and can be used and re-used again and again. These specific ones are from Julie Birch on Etsy, super cute and a splash of spring colour.

Placemats:

Sometimes less is more. Pulling in your table runner and flowers together with some matching placemats and napkins can be the perfect final touch to show off your china. Adding in matching placemats is the perfect way to elevate your plates without buying all new china. Matching your placemats will give you that sleek and put together look with little effort and also makes it easy to change it over into the new season when the next one rolls around. Tartan Placemats can be used not just with your tartan table runner but can be used with a plain table cloth or on their own as a stand out piece, they are versatile and the perfect finishing touch to your spring dinner table.
